International pilgrims visiting the diocese

The Diocese of Sale warmly invites WYD pilgrims from around the world to join us for Days in the Diocese here in Gippsland.
Parishioners in our diocese have begun preparations for hosting WYD pilgrims during Days in the Diocese, and are looking forward to welcoming the youth of the world into our parishes and homes.
Our Days in the Diocese program will begin 8 July 2008 and conclude 11 July 2008. Events being planned include daily morning gatherings, parish dinners, sightseeing excursions, community service activities, a diocesan youth festival and diocesan commissioning Mass to farewell all of the WYD pilgrims before they make the journey to Sydney. Simple accommodation and meals will be provided free of cost to all our Days in the Diocese guests.
If you, or your group wish to participate in the Diocese of Sale Days in the Diocese program please register through the WYD website, www.wyd2008.org and select the Diocese of Sale as your Days in the Diocese destination by 1 June 2008.
Our diocese is located in the Australian state of Victoria so if you are planning to spend Days in the Diocese with us you will need to book your flights to arrive at Melbourne International Airport (NOT Sydney). We can offer international pilgrim groups bus tranposrt from Melbourne Airport to their host parish in our diocese, and then bus transport from our diocese to Sydney to WYD08. This will cost AU$110 per pilgrim.
