JOURNEYING TOGETHER
The Diocesan Pastoral Plan was developed over 2001-2002 and involved input from hundreds of people from across the diocese representing various interests. Parishes, parish groups, schools, priests and religious, diocesan employees and organisations were all involved in conversations which form the basis of this pastoral plan.
The information gathered from these sessions was then collated and refined at workshops and a diocesan forum before smaller committees set about the difficult task of bringing all the information into shape.
The draft plan was released in October 2002 and the plan as presented here was launched by Bishop Jeremiah Coffey in identical ceremonies at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Narre Warren, on November 22, 2002, and at St Mary's Cathedral, Sale, on November 23, 2002.
