FR PETER SLATER
With the retirement of Bishop Jeremiah Coffey on January 2, 2008, the senior priests of the diocese appointed Fr Peter Slater, parish priest of Berwick, as the Diocesan Administrator.
He will continue to administer the diocese until a new bishop is appointed by Pope Benedict XVI.

Ordained priest for Diocese of Sale - June 24, 1975
Parishes in which he has served: Lakes Entrance, Sale, Bairnsdale, Koo Wee Rup, Morwell, Berwick (2000 to present).
Served as diocesan consultor and member of Council of Priests, appointed Vicar General 2005.
