CATHOLIC DEVELOPMENT FUND (CDF)

The Catholic Development Fund, an agency of the Catholic Diocese of Sale, was launched in October 1984 by the then Bishop of Sale, Bishop Eric D'Arcy, now retired Archbishop of Hobart.

The CDF is a unique organisation, which gives the Catholic community an opportunity to save their funds and receive competitive interest rates while supporting the mission of the church. The CDF provides the Diocese of Sale with an internal banking operation, it pools the financial resources of the Diocese, parishes, schools and parishioners.   Money invested is used to provide low cost loans for capital projects in parishes and schools across the Diocese.

The CDF provides a full banking service to all schools and parishes across the Diocese with access to the most modern banking practices.

The CDF provides a range of savings accounts for individuals. The Catholic Development Fund, Diocese of Sale, is not subject to the provisions of the Corporation Act 2001 nor has it been examined or approved by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. Deposits with the Catholic Development Fund, Diocese of Sale, are guaranteed by CDPF Limited, a company established by the Australian Catholic Bishops' Conference for this purpose. We welcome your investment with the Catholic Development Fund, Diocese of Sale, rather than with a profit orientated commercial organisation as a conscious commitment by you to support the Charitable, Religious and Educational works of the Catholic Church
